Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and anything else that refers to this promotion, these Terms and Conditions prevail. 
2. The Promoter is Container Exchange (Qld) Limited ACN 622 570 209 ("Promoter") of Level 13, 295 Ann Street, Brisbane, QLD 4000. Telephone number 13 42 42. 
3. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the entrant. 

ELIGIBILITY 

4. Entry is open to individual customers of the Containers for Change scheme in Queensland, referred to herein as the Eligible Participant. 
5. Groups are not eligible to enter. 

PROMOTIONAL PERIOD 

6. This promotion commences at 9:00am AEST on 2 April 2026 and ends at 5:00pm AEST on 31 October 2026 (“Promotional Period”).   
7. The Promoter may extend the Promotional Period beyond the published end date. If the Promotional Period is extended, the updated end date will be published on the Promoter’s website and, unless otherwise stated, these Terms and Conditions will continue to apply.  

HOW TO ENTER 

8. Return at least 1 eligible drink container to a Containers for Change Queensland refund point and use your member number within the transaction during the Promotional Period. If a competition entry form is introduced for a period during the Promotional Period, the Promotor will notify Eligible Participants, including by publishing details on the Promoter’s website or through other communications channels. 
9. Incomplete, indecipherable or profane entries, as determined by the Promotor, will be deemed invalid. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.  
10. The Promotor is not responsible for any late, lost, altered, damaged, incorrect, incomplete or misdirected entry.  
11. Entry into this promotion is free. However, any cost associated with participating in this promotion is the Eligible Participant’s responsibility. 

HOW TO WIN 

12. To enter the, an Eligible Participant must return a minimum of 1 eligible drink container to a Container’s for Change Queensland refund point in one transaction within a 30-day period before a prize is drawn during the Promotional Period (“Collection Volume”). For more information about eligible containers, please visit: https://cfcqld.com/container-eligibility.   
13. Eligible Participants may enter the Promotion multiple times during the Promotional Period. However, only one (1) entry per Eligible Participant per day is permitted, and only the first eligible transaction made on a day will be counted as an entry. Multiple eligible transactions made on the same day will not result in additional entries for that day. 
14. All valid entries for the prior 30 days will be included in the weekly draw.  
15. Acceptance of the Prize is deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions by the Eligible Participant (or their parent or guardian, where the Eligible Participant is a minor).  

Prize 

16. There is an assortment of Prizes to be won during the Promotional Period. Details of the Prizes for each Weekly Prize Draw Date will be published on a schedule located at https://www.containersforchange.com.au/qld/bincoin-bonus-prizes. The Prizes listed on the schedule will apply to the relevant Weekly Prize Draw Date unless varied by the Promoter in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Any change to the scheduled Prizes will be published on the Promoter’s website prior to the conduct of the relevant draw. 
17. The selected entrant will be allocated a prize from the prize pool with no ability to exchange. 
18. Other terms and conditions relevant to a Prize may be published on the Promoter’s website.  
19. Acceptance of the Prize may require the Winner to also accept and comply with third party terms and conditions. By accepting a Prize, the Winner agrees to comply with all applicable third party terms and conditions. 
20. Some Prizes may only be valid for use on a specified date and/or at a specified time, as determined by the relevant prize supplier, event or experience provider. It is the responsibility of the Winner to attend or use the Prize at or by the specified date and time. No extensions, substitutions or compensation will be provided if the Winner is unable to use the Prize as specified. 

21. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) by any Winner as a result of the Winner accepting or using the Prize (or both) or in connection with Prize or conduct of the third party supplier, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.  

    Prize Draw and Notification 

22. Prizes will be awarded every Monday during the Promotion from the pool of eligible entries, subject to clause 49. (“Weekly Prize Draw Date”). The eligible entry will be drawn using a random selection process. If multiple Prizes are to be awarded on a Weekly Prize Draw Date, the eligible entry will be drawn, and Prizes will be awarded in descending order of value. The first valid entry drawn will be awarded the prize of the highest value (as determined by the Promoter), with subsequent Prizes awarded to the next valid entries drawn for the prizes allocated to that weekly draw. 
23. An Eligible Participant may only win one (1) Prize per Weekly Prize Draw Date. 
24. The winning Eligible Participant of a prize (“Winner”) will be announced within 1 business day of the applicable Weekly Prize Draw Date. The Winner will be notified by the email address or mobile number registered against the Eligible Participant’s Member Number or submitted entry form (“Prize Notification”). 
25. Any winner of a Prize is provisional until such time as the Promoter is satisfied that the Entrant has complied with these Terms and Conditions (including any conditions of accepting a Prize).  

Claiming the prize 

26. The Prize must be claimed by the Winner within 48 hours of the Promoter notifying the entrant of their win, or such longer time expressly stipulated by the Promoter in the Prize Notification ("Claim Deadline").  
27. To claim their allocated Prize, the Winner must (unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter): 
28. follow the instructions in the Prize Notification to accept and provide a valid Queensland email address to receive the Prize (“Nominated Address”); and  
29. provide all information and sign all documents required by the Promoter to claim and deliver the Prize. 
30. If, for any reason, the Winner does not claim the Prize by the Claim Deadline, then the Prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected from the remaining pool of eligible entries.   

Prize delivery 

29. The Winner for the relevant prize will be notified about how the prize will be delivered (or how it may be collected) in the Prize Notification.  Unless otherwise stated, the Prize is deemed to be delivered to a winner at the time the Promoter or Promoter’s prize supplier emails the Prize to the winner's Nominated Email Address.  
30. If a winner is under the age of 18 years, the Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to award the prize to the winner’s parent or guardian and require them to acknowledge receipt of the prize on behalf of the Eligible Participant.   

Unclaimed Prize and Redraw 

31. Subject to any direction by the relevant regulator, a new winner will be randomly drawn from the pool of valid entries as soon as reasonably practicable by the Promoter until:   
32. the Prize has been claimed by a winner; or   
33. the Promoter elects to otherwise deal with the Prize as it deems fit.  

Promoter’s decisions are final 

32. The Promoter’s decisions relating to this promotion are final. The Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the promotion results or any other decisions the Promoter makes in connection with this promotion. 

Publicity materials 

33. If you are a winner, the Eligible Participant must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation.    

General 

34. Where an entrant or other depositor attempts to return and deposit (or donate) containers which are not eligible under the Containers for Change scheme, those containers will be refused and those containers will not count towards the Eligible Participant’s collections in this promotion.  
35. Containers are processed by third parties and as such, the Promoter is not responsible for and has no control over the timing or method of the processing of any containers presented, and how it is reported by the third party. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage arising from any containers being processed by a third party outside of the Promotional Period (or any delays in processing within that period), or errors in any reporting by the third party.   
36. Time of entry is determined by the time the entry is received by the Promoter's database, and not the time of submission by the entrant.   
37. Incomplete, indecipherable or profane entries, as determined by the Promoter, will be deemed invalid.  However, errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion.  
38. If a Prize (or part of a Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter may substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a Prize similar to and of equal or greater value than the original Prize. 
39. Prizes or any unused portion of a Prize are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.  
40. Prizes that are gift cards are subject to the conditions stipulated by the Prize supplier.  Digital gift cards must be activated by the date stipulated by the Prize supplier, and the Promoter is not responsible for any failure to do so.  
41. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right to the fullest extent permitted by law: 
    1. to disqualify any entrant; or 
    2. to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate and is not liable to any entrant for any loss arising from the exercise of its discretion.  
42. If there is a dispute as to an entrant’s identity, eligibility to enter or validity of entry, or interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to determine these matters. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and the eligibility of entrants.  
43. The Promoter further reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the Promoter reasonably believes has or may have breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.  
44. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.  
45. All taxes (excluding GST) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Winner.  
46. If a Prize carries inherent risk, the Winner acknowledges that and they choose to participate at their own risk.

48. This Promotion is governed by the laws in Queensland.  
49. If any obligation, act or deadline under these Terms and Conditions is required to be performed by the Promoter on a day that is not a business day in Brisbane, Queensland (being a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in Brisbane, Queensland), then that obligation, act or deadline will be deemed to fall on, and may be performed by the Promoter on the next business day. 
50.  Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion. This includes (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (e) taking and/or use of a prize; (f) the download and/or use of any app or file on the device used by the entrant, or the entrant's parent/guardian in connection with this promotion (including viruses and malware); (g) any late, lost, damaged or misdirected Prize due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including any error or change in the Winner's nominated addresses; and (g) participation in this promotion (including the contraction of any illness, virus or disease howsoever described whilst participating in this promotion). 

Privacy and collection notice  

51. The Promoter does not intend to collect personal information ("PI") over and above the information collected in connection with Member Numbers. In this regard, the Promoter suggests that the entrant review the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.containersforchange.com.au/privacy-policy.    
52. To facilitate the delivery or fulfilment of a Prize, the Promoter may disclose necessary details of a Winner’s personal information to a third party prize supplier or experience provider. By entering the promotion and accepting a Prize, the Eligible Participant consents to this disclosure for that purpose.
