Container Cub Competition 2026

Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and anything else that refers to this promotion, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
2. The Promoter is Container Exchange (Qld) Limited ACN 622 570 209 ("Promoter") of Level 13, 295 Ann Street, Brisbane, QLD 4000. Telephone number 13 42 42.

3. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the entrant. 

    

ELIGIBILITY 

4. Entry to all prize categories is only open to Queensland Netball Member Associations or Clubs affiliated with Netball Queensland Limited (Netball Queensland) or with a member of Netball Queensland , who have a valid group Containers for Change Queensland member number registered with the Promoter (“Group Member Number”), referred to herein as the Eligible Participant. Member number registration is available here: https://member.containersforchange.com.au/?scheme=qld. Entry to the prize category in clause 15(d) is only open to Eligible Participants who also entered 2025 Netball Queensland “Container Cup Competition”. Entry to the prize category in clause 15(e) is only open to Eligible Participants who become Containers for Change Queensland member during the Promotional Period. Entry to each of the prize categories in clauses 15(g), 15(h), 15(i) and 15(j) is based on the number of members of the Eligible Participant’s club or association as specified on the Entry Form.
5. Individuals are not eligible to enter.

PROMOTIONAL PERIOD

6. This promotion commences at 9:00am AEST on 1 April 2026 and ends at 5:00pm AEST on 30 September 2026 (“Promotional Period”).   

HOW TO ENTER

7. To enter, the Eligible Participant must visit https://containerexchange.jotform.com/260828070922861 and submit a fully completed entry form for this promotion (“Entry Form”) by 11:59 pm on 30 April 2026. The unique Group Member Number registered to the Eligible Participant must be quoted.
8. Only one (1) entry per Eligible Participant is permitted.  
9. Entries may only be submitted by Queensland residents aged 18 years or over with the consent of the participating Eligible Participant nominated in the Entry Form (“Member Association Representative”). By submitting an Entry Form, the Member Association Representative represents they are authorised to accept these Terms and Conditions and engage with the Promoter on the Eligible Participant’s behalf.  
10. Entry into this promotion is free. However, any cost associated with participating in this promotion is the Eligible Participant’s responsibility. 

HOW TO WIN

11. Using its Group Member Number, each Eligible Participant must deposit, or receive donations of, as many containers as possible during the Promotional Period that are eligible for a refund amount in Queensland’s Containers for Change scheme at a Containers for Change refund point (Collection Volume). For more information about eligible containers, please visit https://cfcqld.com/container-eligibility.  
12. Prizes will be awarded to one Eligible Participant winner in each prize category referred to in clause 15 who participates and makes eligible returns during the Promotional Period. Eligible Participants are not limited to winning one Prize only and may win multiple prizes across the different prize categories based on the criteria specified for that prize.  
13. In the event of a tie, the first in time to reach the winning Collection Volume (as recorded on the Promoter’s database) will be the winner.  
14. Only eligible containers processed by a Containers for Change refund point during the Promotional Period will be counted. Time of processing is as recorded on the Promoter’s database.  

PRIZE

15. There are ten prizes in total to be won, as follows:

    a. The Eligible Participant with the highest Collection Volume during the promotional period will win a AUD$5,000 HART gift voucher;  

    b. the Eligible Participant with the second highest Collection Volume will win a AUD$3,000 HART gift voucher.

    c. the Eligible Participant with the third highest Collection Volume will win  a AUD$2,000 HART gift voucher.

    d. the Eligible Participant with the highest Collection Volume during the 30 day sign up period (being 9:00 am AEST on 1 April 2026 to 11:59 pm AEST on 30 April 2026) will win a AUD$1,000 HART gift voucher.

    e. the Eligible Participant who is the first club or association to collect and return 500 eligible containers and is a new Containers for Change Queensland member during the Promotional Period will win a AUD$1,000 HART gift voucher.

    f. the Eligible Participant with the highest percentage increase in container returns from the previous Container Cup 2025 competition will win a AUD$1,000 HART gift voucher.

    g. the Eligible Participant that has less than 1,000 members in its club or association as at the date of entry and has the highest Collection volume per member will win a AUD$500 HART gift voucher.

    h. the Eligible Participant that has more than 1,000 members in its club or association as at the date of entry and has the highest Collection volume per member will win a AUD$500 HART gift voucher.

    i. the Eligible Participant that has more than 250 members in its club or association as at the date of entry and has the highest Collection volume per member and has more than 250 members will win a AUD$500 HART gift voucher.

    j. the Eligible Participant that has less than 250 members in their club or association as at the date of entry and has the highest Collection volume per member will win a AUD$500 HART gift voucher.

The total value of the prize pool is AUD$15,000. The Promoter is not responsible for any changes in the value of the Prize. 

PRIZE NOTIFICATION

16. The winning Eligible Participant for each prize will be announced within 2 business days of the end of the Promotional Period. The winners will be notified by the email submitted on the Registration Form or registered against the Eligible Participant’s Group Member Number (“Prize Notification”).  
17. The winners’ names and Collection Volumes may be published on the Promoter’s social media accounts for the purposes of this promotion.  The winner’s name may also be printed in an eDM published and distributed by the Promoter and Netball Queensland.  
18. Any winner of a Prize is provisional until such time as the Promoter is satisfied that the entrant has complied with these Terms and Conditions (including any conditions of accepting a Prize).
19. The Prize correspondence will be directed, and the Prize will be delivered, to the winner's Member Association Representative identified on the Entry Form (or its authorised representative).  

CLAIMING THE PRIZE

20. The Prize must be claimed within 5 business days of the Promoter notifying the entrant of their win, or such longer time stipulated by the Promoter ("Claim Deadline").  

21. To claim the Prize, the winner must (unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Promoter):

    a. follow the instructions in the Prize Notification to accept and provide a valid Queensland postal address and email address to receive the Prize (“Nominated Address”); and  

    b. provide all information and sign all documents required by the Promoter to claim and deliver the Prize.

22. If for any reason the winner does not claim the Prize by the Claim Deadline, then the Prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected from the remaining pool of Eligible Participants.  

PRIZE DELIVERY

23. The Prize is deemed to be delivered to a winner at the time the Promoter or Promoter’s prize supplier posts the Prize to the winner's Nominated Address.

PROMOTER'S DECISIONS ARE FINAL

24. The Promoter’s decisions relating to this promotion are final. The Promoter will not enter correspondence regarding the promotion results or any other decisions the Promoter makes in connection with this promotion. 

PUBLICITY MATERIALS

25. If you are a winner, the Eligible Recipient must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation.    
26. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the Eligible Participant’s name, logo and total container volume information for the promotion in any media (including the Promoter’s social media accounts, eDMs, Containers for Change website) for an unlimited period and without compensation for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including the promotion of any outcome and progress updates).
27. The Eligible Recipient is responsible for procuring, and warrants that it has procured before proceeding, the consent of its participating representatives for the purposes of clause 25 and 26, and the terms of such consent is consistent with these terms and conditions.
28. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury to Eligible Participants resulting form entering or participating in this promotion, including arising from comments made or material published by third parties about the Eligible Participant on any social media platform in connection with this promotion.

GENERAL

29. Where an entrant or other depositor attempts to return and deposit (or donate) containers which are not eligible under the Containers for Change scheme, those containers will be refused, and those containers will not count towards the Eligible Recipient’s collections in this promotion.  
30. Containers are processed by third parties and as such, the Promoter is not responsible for and has no control over the timing or method of the processing of any containers presented, and how it is reported by the third party. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage arising from any containers being processed by a third party outside of the Promotional Period (or any delays in processing within that period), or errors in any reporting by the third party.  
31. Time of entry is determined by the time the online entry is received by the Promoter's database, and not the time of submission by the entrant.  
32. Incomplete, indecipherable or profane entries, as determined by the Promoter, will be deemed invalid.  However, errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion.  
33. If a Prize (or part of a Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter may substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a Prize similar to and of equal or greater value than the original Prize.
34. Prizes or any unused portion of a Prize are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.  
35. Prizes that are gift cards are subject to the conditions stipulated by the Prize supplier.  Digital gift cards must be activated by the date stipulated by the Prize supplier, and the Promoter is not responsible for any failure to do so.  

36. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right to the fullest extent permitted by law:

    a. to disqualify any entrant; or

    b. to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate and is not liable to any entrant for any loss arising from the exercise of its discretion.  

37. If there is a dispute as to an entrant’s identity, eligibility to enter or validity of entry, or interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to determine these matters. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and the eligibility of entrants.  
38. The Promoter further reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the Promoter reasonably believes has or may have breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion.  
39. Should an Eligible Participant’s contact details change during the Promotion Period, it is the Eligible Participant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter of the change.  
40. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.  
41. The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by notice without liability to any entrant or other person, subject to applicable laws. These Terms and Conditions and any updates are available at https://www.containersforchange.com.au/qld/container-cup-competition-2026.  
42. This Promotion is governed by the laws in Queensland.  
43. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion. This includes (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; (e) taking and/or use of a prize; (f) the download and/or use of any app or file on the device used by the entrant, or the entrant's parent/guardian in connection with this promotion (including viruses and malware); (g) any late, lost, damaged or misdirected Prize due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including any error or change in the Winner's nominated addresses; (g) participation in this promotion (including the contraction of any illness, virus or disease howsoever described whilst participating in this promotion); and (h) any act or omission by Netball Queensland in connection with this promotion (including information you provide to them via the Entry Form). 

PRIVACY

44. The Promoter does not intend to collect personal information ("PI") over and above the information collected in connection with a Group Member Number. In this regard, the Promoter suggests that the entrant review the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.containersforchange.com.au/privacy-policy.    
45. Entering into this promotion, you represent to us that you have authorised Netball Queensland to share your Entry Form and your details to the Promoter, and that we may use that information for the purposes of conducting this promotion. You also agree that the Promoter may use and handle such PI as set out in its Privacy Policy.
