Kensington Secondary School

Kensington Secondary School is an independent public school. They have created a large area in their school that is dedicated to Containers for Change, which is accessible for all students including those in wheelchairs or using walking frames. They have incorporated Containers for Change into their Work Ready Program which provides the teaching of important skills for fulfilling employment. Since 2020 their Containers for Change program has grown into a fast-paced growing business that the whole school gets behind. To date, the school has collected close to 90,000 containers!

WAglass was created in 2019 to process glass returned through Containers for Change in Western Australia.

Based in Bassendean, their site accepts glass from WA refund points, and beneficiates it for direct feed to Orora's furnaces in South Australia.

Since Containers for Change began in WA, they have sent over 75,000 tonnes of beneficiated glass back into the furnace to be remade into bottles.
